1. Definition of Charging Pile
Charging pile is a special electric equipment which provides battery power support for electric vehicles. It is mainly installed in public buildings (public buildings, shopping malls, public parking lots, etc.), residential parking lots or charging stations. It provides charging services of different voltage levels for various types of electric vehicles through charging plugs.
Charging piles are supplied by AC and DC power supply mode and swiped by specific charging cards. Users can choose four charging modes, i.e. constant power, fixed time, fixed amount and automatic charging (up to full) when charging through man-machine interface.
The AC working voltage of charging piles is 220V or 380V. It usually takes 4-5 hours for ordinary pure electric cars to be fully charged. Charging piles are cheap and mainly installed in parking lots. They are suitable for slow-charging batteries.
2. Classification of Charging Piles
According to installation mode:
It can be divided into floor charging pile and wall-mounted charging pile. Ground charging piles are suitable for parking spaces not close to the wall. Wall-mounted charging piles are suitable for parking spaces near walls.
According to installation location:
It can be divided into public charging pile and special charging pile. Public charging pile is a charging pile built in public parking lot (garage) combined with parking space to provide public charging services for social vehicles. The special charging pile is a charging pile used by the construction unit (enterprise) in its own parking lot (warehouse) for the internal personnel of the unit (enterprise). The self-used charging pile is a charging pile built in a personal parking space (garage) to provide charging for private users.
According to the number of charging interfaces:
It can be divided into one pile with one filling and one pile with more filling.
According to charging mode:
It can be divided into DC charging pile, AC charging pile and AC-DC charging pile.
3. Charging Station System and Function
Charging station system composition:
Charging station can be divided into distribution system, charging system, battery dispatching system and monitoring system. A complete charging station is required
It consists of five parts: distribution room, central monitoring room, charging area, battery replacement area and battery maintenance room.
1) Distribution room provides power supply for charging station. It not only provides electric energy for charger, but also meets the demand of lighting and control equipment. It has all equipments of transformation and distribution, distribution monitoring system, related control and compensation equipment.
2) The central monitoring room is used to monitor the operation of the whole charging station and complete the printing of management reports.
3) The charging area mainly completes the battery charging function.
4) Battery replacement area is the place where vehicles change batteries. Battery replacement equipment should be equipped. Battery storage room should be built to store spare batteries.
5) Battery rearrangement, Battery Balance, Battery Battery Capacity Testing, Battery Failure Emergency Handling and so on are all carried out in the Battery Maintenance Room to provide three charging modes:
A) Ordinary charging, i.e. conventional charging or slow charging. This method is mostly AC charging mode, which is mainly completed by charging piles. 220V or 380V AC power supply is provided outside to connect the vehicle charger, and the vehicle charger charges the power battery. In general, small pure electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles mostly adopt this method.
B) High current and fast charging require the construction of fast charger. This method is mainly realized by the ground charger of the charging station, which charges the battery directly without the vehicle charger. Electric vehicles only need to provide charging and related communication interface at 20.-
Within 30 minutes, it can be charged to 50% to 80% without full filling, so it can meet the needs of continuity.
C) Battery replacement.
This method is faster and more convenient. It only needs to remove all the power battery modules of the electric vehicle and replace them with the same type of battery packs which are fully charged. Because it involves the charging, storage, maintenance and replacement of battery module, the construction standard of charging station is higher.
